A blocked or dirty clean water filter on your Tennant T16 Floor Scrubber Dryer can reduce water flow and affect cleaning performance. In this step-by-step guide, our engineer Rob Freeman demonstrates how to locate, remove, clean, and refit the filter in the clean water tank.
The clean water tank is located at the rear of the machine on the left-hand side. The filter sits at the bottom of the tank and is accessed by first emptying the tank, removing the Jubilee clip and drain hose, and reaching inside to pull out the gauze filter.

Hello, this is Rob Freeman from Alpha Power Cleaners and today we’re going to look at the Tennant T16 and how to check the filter in the clean water tank. On these machines, the clean water tank is at the rear of the machine. It’s the left hand tank and the filter is located in the bottom. To access it, make sure the tank is empty of water.
Once you’ve done so, there’s a Jubilee clip on the bottom of the drain hose. Remove the Jubilee clip and remove the hose. It’s a case of then putting your hand inside and removing the clean water filter. It’s quite a tight gap, but it will come out. You have a gauze filter which can be cleaned off with either a rag or a pressure washer ideally. Once it’s all clean, you can pop it back in the tank and screw it back into position. Refit the drain hose and tighten the Jubilee clip.
