Meet The Team

Chris founded Alpha Power Cleaners in 1997, starting out on his own and taking the business forward to where it is today. Chris believes that a high level of customer services is paramount to retaining existing clients and developing new customer relationships.

A measure of his success was to be appointed a leading Accredited Karcher Premier Servicing Dealer across the East Midlands. Prior to this, Chris worked in the hire trade since his early years.

Outside of work, Chris has a keen interest in motor sport and in particular karting. ‘Team Alpha’ won the Le Mans championship in France in both 2009 and 2013. Over recent years his need for speed has moved Chris into racing cars including Citroen C1’s and Golf GTI in various Championships throughout the UK. Keep an eye out on our socials for updates on his season!

Rob has worked at Alpha for a number of years, starting in his early teens on a Saturday morning, cleaning the vans and workshops. He joined the company full time in 2011 after studying Business and Management at De Montfort University, Leicester and graduated with a First class degree.

Rob roles has plenty of variety from keeping in touch with existing customers to ensuring to assisting with the smooth running of all operations throughout the business.

His main passion outside of work is football, where he follows Liverpool FC. Rob also has a young family with two children who he likes to spend his spare time with.

Jordan joined the Alpha Power Cleaners team in 2019 after completing his A-Level studies.

After a few years gaining experience Jordan was promoted to Office Manager, whereby he is responsible for ensuring the effective performance of the office functions of the business. Working closely with Rob,  Nick, Lucy and Carole, Jordan has become a main point of contact for new and existing customers alike, ensuring key functions of the business are delivered in an efficient manner.

Jordan, for his sins, is an avid supporter of West Ham United and very much enjoys socialling with his friends during his spare time.

Nick joined the Alpha Power Cleaners team in 2021 after arriving in the UK just before COVID in 2019. As our Business Development Manager, Nick likes to spend his time on site with customers, providing site surveys and demonstrations on all manner of cleaning equipment.

Nick has years of experience within the cleaning industry after spending over 10 years with Goscor Cleaning Equipment  in South Africa whereby he was Sales Manager, responsible for selling and hiring Tennant Cleaning Equipment.

Outside of work, Nick is a avid Liverpool fan, enjoys Rugby and plays for his local cricket team.

Lucy re-joined the Alpha team in 2017, after a few years away raising her family. Lucy was promoted in 2024 to Service Controller, whereby she manages and schedules both customer and fleet services on a daily basis.

Outside of work, Lucy enjoys spending time with her children, taking them to football and socialising with friends and family.

Carole joined the Alpha team in 2015, filling a role within our customer support team.

Carole has various roles within the office, from taking breakdown calls to assisting with our accounts department. Previously Carole has worked within the logistics industry.

Outside of work, Carole loves to spend time with her grandchildren.

Nicky joined the Alpha team in 2025, filling a role within our customer support team.

Scott has been with Alpha since 2006, joining the team after several years as an engineer in the printing industry, and is now our Head Technician.

Scott has a broad knowledge accross all machines, from pressure washers to the larger LPG floor scrubber driers. He is predominately on-hand in our workshop to ensure all hire machines are full functional and working to the very best standard.

Scott’s main hobby is fishing which he does at various locations throughout the region. He also follows football, where he supports his local team Leicester City FC.

Dave joined Alpha back in 2004, coming in from an engineering background, he has proven to be another key team player. He is our resident pressure washer expert, what he doesn’t know about a Karcher presure washer is not worth knowing!

Dave has a keen interest in motor sport, another karting enthusiast, and regularly watches Formula 1 and various other forms of racing. He also follows football and supports his beloved Sunderland AFC.

Dave brings his knowledge and expertise from an engineering background to the team. This experience, along with the skills and qualification of the other members of the team, means that the Alpha team has a wealth of experience across many areas and is adept to meet the wants and needs of all our customers.

At the time, Dave became our sixth technician and is responsible for repairs in our workshop, delivering hire machines and is also a dab hand at DIY throughout our premises. Daves hobbies include DIY, walking his dogs and going to concerts.

Dave ‘Sausage’ Scales joined the Alpha team in 2021 bringing along his great sense of humour, wide smile and a wealth of experience across many areas.

Sausage has a wide knowledge across all machines types and will be another familiar face to our customers, as he and his stocked service van travel around the Country keeping customers machines in tip top working order!

Outside of work, Dave is an avid fisherman and loves socialing with friends and family. He loves DIY and enjoys going out in his converted camper van.

Steve Ridding re-joined the Alpha team as a service technician in 2022 after a brief hiatus during COVID.

Like Mick, Steve has a wide knowledge across all machines types and will be another familiar face to our customers, as he and his stocked service van travel around the Country keeping customers machines in tip top working order!

Outside of work, Steve plays pool and spends time with his young family.

Josh become a part of team Alpha during 2021 as a Service Technician.

Josh works with all machines, from pressure washers to floor scrubber dryers and is another one of our technicians that will be a familiar face to our customers, as he and his stocked service van travel around the Country keeping customers machines performing to the best of their ability.

Outside of work, Josh is Man United fan and likes to spends time with his family and friends.

Jenson become a part of team Alpha during 2026 as a Service Technician.

Aiden become a part of team Alpha during 2026 as a Service Technician.

Ryan become a part of team Alpha during 2026 as a Service Technician.

Simon became our first delivery driver / demonstrator back in 2022 but his vast experience leads him to putting his hand to almost all roles across the workshop.

The majority of the time, Simon will be found scaling up and down the Country, delivering hire machines and providing full operator training to all our hire customers.

Outside of work, Simon loves DIY, is an avid Rugby fan and likes to socialise with family and friends.

During our expansion during 2023, Owen joined the team as our second dedicated delivery driver / demonstrator with a wealth of experience.

The majority of the time, Owen will be found scaling up and down the Country, delivering hire machines and providing full operator training to all our hire customers.

Outside of work, Owen loves DIY and cars.

Like Simon, Tom joined our team as a delivery driver / demonstrator but his vast experience leads him to putting his hand to almost all roles across the workshop.

The majority of the time, Tom will be found scaling up and down the Country, delivering hire machines and providing full operator training to all our hire customers.

Steve become a part of team Alpha during 2024 as a driving / demonstrator.
