Hello, my name is Rob Freeman and welcome to Alpha Power Cleaners. Today we’re looking at the Tenant T500 pedestrian floor scrubber dryer. And in this video, we’re going to show how to empty the recovery tank. Now, the recovery tank on this machine is located on top of the machine, which can be seen here. The drain hose is at the rear of the machine next to the controls and can be drained out like so.

We’d always recommend every time that you empty the recovery tank to give it a flush out to ensure there’s no debris left in the bottom that can cause blockages. On this particular machine, it’s got a float in the top of the tank with a gauze around it. Now, these work on a ball filter, so it’s manual, so as the water hits the ball, it stops the suction and changes the pitch of the vacuum motor. This particular model has not got an electronic float.
