Hi, I’m Dave from Alpha Power Cleaners and we’re going to do some troubleshooting today on suction issues for a tenant T300. Before doing anything, I recommend emptying the dirty water tank and checking the lid on the dirty water tank hose to make sure this is shut properly. After doing this, I would make sure the vacuum is coming on. If it’s not coming on, you know who to call. Alpha Power Cleaners.

If the vac motor is coming on, the first port of call is to look at the suction hose to see if there’s a blockage in the suction hose. I would remove this and recommend you flushing it through with water, not shoving a screwdriver up inside. If you’re getting full suction through the suction hose, but you’re getting streaks or a poor suction on the squeegee bar, there is a trap on these squeegee bars.

Check that has not got a blockage in them. and also take to remove the squeegee, turn it upside down and clean it. 90% of streaks on a floor is because there’s debris on the squeegee blades.
