To help you know a little more about what you are investing in – whether hiring or buying – in this series of articles we explain the various components of scrubber dryers, beginning with the clean water tank.
Where is it?
The clean water tank is most commonly located in the main body of your scrubber dryer, located directly above the rotary head. As what is often one of the bigger components of your scrubber dryer, its placement here makes the machine easier to handle, and ensures a consistent feed of water.
How does it work?
The clean water tank provides a constant source of water for the scrubber dryer as it is used. The water travels to the rotary brushes that dislodge dirt and debris on the ground in one of two ways.
First, the water may travel through to the brush by a manual gravity system controlled by the user, or alternatively, the scrubber dryer may have an automated system.
What do they look like?
The clean water tank can vary depending on the type of scrubber dryer you have and the use it is intended for. For example, smaller domestic scrubber dryers will have a much smaller clean water tank, whilst for industrial sized equipment the tank is large enough to be driven around on.
You can check the size of the tank when looking to purchase or hire a scrubber dryer in order to determine that it holds enough water per use for your requirements.
